This week has been HOT, HOT, HOT! If the weather forecast is to be believed, it should cool down this weekend after a bit of rain tonight, but hopefully that won’t keep families indoors! Lots going on this weekend, as usual for June in Western Switzerland! Some events that are good for the whole family:
- World Cup Football Matches — yes they start late, with the earliest matches at 18:00, but catching one game with your family and friends, at home or in front of a large screen like they have at many sports complexes and pubs in the area, well, who can beat the atmosphere?!
- Concours Hippique de Signy — this annual event that takes place at the equestrian centre in Signy, across from Signy Centre, is a great event for horse lovers!
- Diabolo Festival in Morges — now in its third year, this large children’s festival in Morges is full of games and shows! Visit http://www.diabolofestival.ch for details and tickets.
- Fete de la Musique in Gland — all day Saturday starting at 11:00
- Swiss Wrestling Championships – on Sunday in St. George, the Club-de-Lutte de Mont-sur-Rolle hosts
- Cirque Artafou – Free shows at Usine a Gaz
- Guided Tours for Kids – Arboretum d’Aubonne
- Bourse aux livres et au BD – The Trelex parents association is hosting a second-hand book and comics sale Saturday morning at the Salle Polyvalente, 9:30-12:00
- Jardin litteraire — The Library in Rolle is hosting a day of free activities, Saturday from 9:30
- Jubilé du Lac de Divonne — From Friday to Sunday celebrate Divonne’s Lake
- Festival de la Terre in Lausanne — the Montbenon area hosts the 10th edition of Lausanne’s Earth Festival. http://www.festivaldelaterre.ch/
